ISLAMABAD (Unique News Update) The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to prosecute 7.2 million tax evaders in the country. In this regard, the Finance Bill has directed the FBR to take action against tax evaders. Special options are given.
According to private TV Dunya News, laws have been tightened to take action against tax evaders and defaulters and special powers have been given to FBR officials.
According to the Finance Bill, FBR officers will have the power to estimate the assets kept secret while the concerned officers will be able to determine the tax based on the value of the assets. The tax commissioners will send cases to the FBR for arrest of tax evaders.
According to the finance bill, FBR officers will be able to arrest 2.5 crore defaulters and the FBR will have the power to sell secret properties and assets within 15 days.
